About us
The NIVUS Group is a worldwide leader for measurement technology in potable and wastewater. Apart from developing, manufacturing and supplying the complete range of products for flow and level as well as the corresponding communication interfaces, we are also experts in the field of consulting and engineering.
NIVUS is a solution provider! Our application spectrum comprises water distribution, flowing and surface waters, irrigation systems, hydropower plants, municipal and industrial channel networks (nuclear power plants, steel plants etc.), water/wastewater treatment, etc. in all kinds of geometries. Furthermore, our services include monitoring and leakage detection (e.g. Non-Revenue Water calculation) combined with detailed reports and data evaluation.
NIVUS has been certified according to ISO 9001 since 1995 and ATEX since 1999. Since then, the M-CERTS certificate, WRAS approval certificate and the IECEx scheme have been added.
Our precision in the area of research and development is well known. State-of-the-art test systems specially built allow to perform extensive test series for new technologies. For example, a hydrophone test rig specially designed in close cooperation with the university of Ulm/Germany permits to visualise ultrasonic beams. This allows even more efficient alignment of transmitter and receiver modules. Improved adjustment as well as options to align components transmitting ultrasound even more accurate provides high-quality measurement results which could not be achieved using previous methods. A custom-built test channel with a length of 10 m and a flow capacity of 200 l/s is used to research flow conditions and hydro-dynamic relations. This is where we simulate hydraulic conditions just as they occur in reality on site. Gaining a better understanding of the processes within systems conducting water is paving the ground for developments providing crucial benefits in practice. NIVUS regularly invest in the future of the in-house test labs. Not least, this is why we at NIVUS are a worldwide technology leader in the field of contactless ultrasonic measurement systems.
The NIVUS Monitoring Group - Our experts take over the implementation of your measurement campaigns on a temporary or permanent basis. This includes the preliminary inspection and suitability test of your measurement place as well as the installation and operation of the required measurement systems.
NIVUS Service Team - In addition to the classic commissioning and installation of our devices, we can also take over the maintenance of your measurement or data transmission technology on request. We are happy to do this within the framework of a maintenance contract where we take over the monitoring of the necessary deadlines. In addition, we develop, design and plan customised complete solutions and take care of the entire project management. We are also happy to build individual control cabinets for your measurement place or provide completely self-sufficient measuring stations. In cooperation with our subsidiaries and distribution partners, we provide a global service.

Accessories such as a calibrated pipe measuring section to force full filled pipes or appropriate sensor mounting materials provide the best possible conditions for impeccable measurements.
